Multiple-Storey Building Collapses in Delhi’s Seemapuri, Seven Feared Trapped

On Wednesday, a multi-storey building collapsed in the Seemapuri area of Delhi. Rescue and relief operations are underway at the scene. According to eyewitnesses, it is suspected that 6 to 7 people remain trapped under the rubble, and search efforts continue. Aam Aadmi Party legislator Veer Singh Dhingan told the BBC Hindi that he was informed of the building collapse around 3:30 PM from Seemapuri. He reported that 6 to 7 people have been rescued alive from the debris. Rescue and relief work is still ongoing, and no fatalities have been confirmed so far. According to Dhingan, the building was approximately five to six stories tall and covered an area of around 25 square yards. It is understood to be one to two years old and was home to a Muslim family.
