
Charange Youth Club Wins 38th Jharna Running Shield Football Tournament
Tilottama – Charange Youth Club Devdah emerged victorious in the 38th Jharna Running Shield Knockout Football Tournament held in Kunjalapur. In the final played on Sunday at Uma Basic School’s playground, Charange defeated Gorkha Boys Club Butwal by a score of 3–1.
Along with the championship title, Charange received a cash prize of NPR 400,000, a shield, and a certificate. The runner-up Gorkha Boys received NPR 200,000, a shield, and a certificate as well.
In the tournament, Gorkha Boys’ foreign player Silla was declared the Best Defender. Charange’s Krishna Ale was named Best Midfielder, Bhim Pun was awarded Best Goalkeeper, and Abhinas was honored as Best Player. Deep son Sapkota of the organizing Jharna Sports Club was recognized as the Most Promising Player.
The awards and certificates for the winning and runner-up teams were presented by Ramkrishna Khan, Mayor of Tilottama Municipality; Dhanendra Paudel, President of Jharna Sports Club; and Lok Pun, Coordinator of Tilottama Municipal Sports Development Committee.
