Kathmandu District Court Confirms Progress in Vehicle Return Process

The Kathmandu District Court has confirmed that the process of returning vehicles provided to election officers is underway. Due to vehicles being destroyed by fire during the people’s movement on 23rd Bhadra 2082, the court urgently required replacement vehicles, prompting the ongoing transfer process.

The court drew special attention to a news report published on an online platform. On 19th Chaitra in Kathmandu, the court provided information that the return process of vehicles allocated to election officers during the election period is in progress. The report titled “Election Officers from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Chitwan Have Not Returned Their Vehicles” had been published earlier on Wednesday.

The court also disclosed the details underlying its response. The attention letter sent by the court stated, “Many of the court’s vehicles were burnt and destroyed during the 23rd Bhadra 2082 people’s movement, and due to an immediate need for transportation, the transfer process of these vehicles is moving forward.”
