3rd Chaitra, Dolpa – A jeep accident in the Himalayan district of Dolpa has claimed the life of a driver.
The accident took place on a rough, inner dirt road section at Kangre Khola under Moodkechula Rural Municipality-3. The deceased, 23-year-old Sanman Rokayo, originally from Bhotgaon within the same municipality and currently residing in Triveni, Rukum West, was driving the vehicle.
According to the Dolpa District Police Office, the jeep bearing registration number Ba 17 Cha 3970 was traveling from Khark village toward Triveni in Rukum West when it suddenly went out of control and plunged approximately 30–40 meters down into the river on Tuesday evening at around 5:18 pm.
Police confirmed that only the driver was in the jeep at the time. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing, the police added.
