Drone Attack Targets US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq
March 16, Kathmandu – The US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, was attacked with multiple drones and rockets. According to news agencies Reuters and AFP, several drones and rockets targeted the US Embassy in Baghdad.
An Iraqi security source told AFP that among the recent attacks in the past few days, this latest attack was the most severe.
The embassy had issued a security alert approximately six hours before the attack, advising American citizens in Iraq to remain vigilant.
The security advisory stated, ‘Militias linked to Iran have been conducting successive attacks in Baghdad’s International Zone.’
Details about any damage caused by the attack have not been disclosed. The US Embassy in Baghdad had also been attacked last week.
