What Will the Weather Be Like Today?

March 18, Kathmandu – The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that a western low-pressure system and local winds are currently influencing the country.

This afternoon, the mountainous regions are expected to be generally cloudy, while the hilly and Terai areas will experience partly cloudy skies. Some places in the mountainous parts of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may see light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Tonight, predominantly cloudy conditions are forecasted over the hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, and Gandaki provinces.

The hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces will have partly cloudy skies, whereas most other areas are expected to remain clear. Additionally, some locations in the hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpashchim Province may experience light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning.
