Blessing Muzarabani Banned for Two Years After Leaving PSL to Join IPL

Zimbabwean pace bowler Blessing Muzarabani has been handed a two-year ban for leaving the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The PSL has deemed her action as a disciplinary violation and has issued a stern warning that similar punishments could be imposed on other players in such cases.

Muzarabani is currently playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, having taken four wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Initially, she went unsold in both the IPL and PSL auctions. However, Islamabad United later signed her as a replacement player in the PSL. Shortly thereafter, she broke that contract to opt for playing in the IPL with Kolkata Knight Riders.

The PSL considers this a breach of professional conduct and has taken strict action. They state that even though the previous contract was in place, moving to another league violates professional regulations.
