‘Wellness Day’ Video Contest Announced; Winners from Each Province to Receive NPR 75,000 Cash Prize
On the occasion of the first International Wellness Day, the Nepal Tourism Board has launched a video contest under the theme “Wellness in Every Frame, Nepal in Every Story.” One winner will be selected from each of the seven provinces, each receiving a cash prize of NPR 75,000. The deadline to submit entries is set for May 14, 2026. The contest invites participants to produce a 20-second video covering areas such as Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, spa, and spiritual healing, which must be shared on social media using designated hashtags.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, this campaign aims to promote Nepal as the world’s premier spiritual and natural wellness destination. The board will select one winner per province to be awarded NPR 75,000 in cash. Interested participants can upload their creations on photonepal.org.
The competition calls on participants to capture the tranquility of the Himalayas and various wellness traditions of the country in an impactful 20-second video. To enhance digital presence, videos must be shared on social media using hashtags like #WellnessNepal and #NepalNow. Deepkaraj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Board, stated, “This contest will serve as a digital bridge that connects the world to the soul of our nation.”
