March 18, Kathmandu – Currently, the country is under the partial influence of a western low-pressure system and local winds, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

There are scattered clouds in the hill and Terai regions of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while the rest of the areas are experiencing clear weather.

The department forecasts that this afternoon, the hill and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi Provinces will generally be cloudy, with partial cloudiness in other regions.

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places of the hill and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces, certain locations of hill and mountainous areas in Lumbini and Gandaki Provinces, as well as some parts of hill and mountainous regions in Bagmati and Koshi Provinces.

Similarly, tonight, the hill and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi Provinces will generally have cloud cover, while the Terai regions will have partial clouds. There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces, certain hill and mountainous areas of Lumbini and Gandaki Provinces, and one or two locations in the mountainous areas of Bagmati and Koshi Provinces.
