Two Months After Election Victory, Prachanda Heading to Rukum East

April 30, Rukum East – Prachanda, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), is set to visit Rukum East today. This marks his first visit to the district two months after winning the election. According to district party coordinator Kumari Baral, Prachanda is scheduled to arrive in Rukumkot at 10 a.m. Currently, Prachanda is in Rukum West and plans to travel to his own electoral constituency in Rukum East before returning.

The primary focus of Prachanda’s visit will be an election review meeting. After winning the election, Prachanda returned to Kathmandu via helicopter on March 6 and had not appeared in the district since then. Prior to the polls, he had visited households promising strong commitments to development, prosperity, roads, employment, and change. However, since victory, his schedule has kept him busy in the capital.

Voters are viewing Prachanda’s visit not just as a formal political appearance but also as a test of his election commitments. Beyond the review meeting, local residents eagerly await concrete plans addressing pressing issues such as roads, health, education, employment, and infrastructure.
