US President Donald Trump, upon reaching the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, described China as an ‘excellent place, incredible’ and praised its beauty. Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that China will further open its doors to American companies, offering significant opportunities. After a two-hour meeting between Trump and Xi, a discussion was held with business leaders, indicating China’s readiness to endure more pressure regarding the purchase of American goods.
April 13, Kathmandu – During a photo session at the Temple of Heaven, Trump commented, “Excellent place, incredible. China is very beautiful.” The Temple of Heaven is a historic complex where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties conducted prayers and religious ceremonies for good harvests. It is renowned as a famous temple complex and a major tourist attraction in Beijing. The site had been closed to the public two days prior to their visit.
Reporters questioned both leaders about Taiwan-related discussions, but neither Trump nor Xi responded. When asked about how the conversation went, Trump replied, “Wait and see.” Currently, Trump has exited the Temple of Heaven complex. After the two-hour meeting with Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with American business leaders. Xi stated that China’s doors will open further to American companies, providing larger opportunities. He also noted that American companies have long participated in China’s development, resulting in mutual benefits for both countries.
