Before his visit, Rubio referred to India as a “significant ally and partner” of the United States, emphasizing the need for cooperation on several critical issues.
In an interview with the media, Rubio stated, “We are eager to sell India as much energy as it requires. The United States has reached a historic high in production and exports, and we intend to further expand this.”
The stoppage of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has triggered a global energy crisis, affecting India as well, although the Indian government claims there is sufficient fuel availability within the country.
