Two Arrested in Rupandehi with Printers and Computers Used for Counterfeit Currency Production

May 21, Kathmandu: Police in Rupandehi have apprehended two individuals involved in printing counterfeit currency. The suspects were caught Thursday in Lumbini Cultural Municipality with printers and computers used for producing fake notes, according to Rupandehi police.

The arrested individuals are Abdul Hamid, 38, from Kakrahwa, Siddharthnagar, India, and Anil Pasi, 22, from Masinak-11, Lumbini Cultural Municipality. Anil Pasi is also known by the nickname Vikki. Authorities seized a large quantity of counterfeit 100, 500, and 1000 Nepali rupee notes, computers, printers, and other materials from their possession.
