Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Demands Implementation of Farmer Pension Scheme
Arvind Sah, a member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has called for the implementation of a farmer pension scheme in the House of Representatives. He drew the government’s attention to the need for budget allocation to ensure the availability of chemical fertilizers, irrigation facilities, and electrification in agriculture. Speaking during zero hour on Monday, 12 Jestha, in Kathmandu, he stated, ‘Ensure agricultural insurance and the availability of fertilizers. Additionally, implement the farmer pension scheme.’
MP Sah highlighted that the government has already set the minimum support price for paddy and emphasized the need to work on the availability of chemical fertilizers. He stressed that budget provisions are required to deliver irrigation services to areas lacking these facilities and that special attention should be given to electrification in agriculture. Against this backdrop, he underscored the importance of the government addressing farmers’ issues.
