April 28, Kathmandu – The government has initiated plans to elevate three institutions to international university status.
In the budget speech for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle announced the development of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, National Academy of Medical Sciences, and Patan Academy of Health Sciences into internationally ranked universities.
Minister Wagle said, “These hospitals will be developed to have the capacity to provide education to foreign students as well.”
