Vaibhav Suryavanshi Selected for Indian Senior Team for the First Time, Set to Play in Asian Games

Fifteen-year-old batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been selected for the Indian senior cricket team for the first time. The announced squad will be captained by Shreyas Iyer, with Tilak Varma appointed as vice-captain. Former captain Suryakumar Yadav is not included in the team for the upcoming three competitions.

Kathmandu, June 6 – Fifteen-year-old batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been selected for India’s senior cricket team for the first time. He has been named in the squad for the T20 series against Ireland and England, as well as the Asian Games scheduled to be held in Japan this September. Shreyas Iyer will lead the team as captain, while Tilak Varma will serve as vice-captain. Notably, former captain Suryakumar Yadav has not been selected for any of these three upcoming events.

The T20 series between Ireland and England will take place during June and July, while the Asian Games will be hosted in Japan in September.
