UML Forms Subcommittee to Collect Suggestions for Constitution Amendment
The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has established a subcommittee headed by Agni Kharel to collect suggestions for the amendment of the constitution. The subcommittee, formed under the leadership of Vice Chairman Bishnu Prasad Paudel, will prepare a schedule for gathering inputs. The task force’s meeting also decided to engage in dialogue with other political parties regarding the contents of the constitutional amendment. Kathmandu, 31 Jestha.
The subcommittee includes members Ramesh Badal, Mahesh Bartola, Krishnabhakta Pokharel, Tikaram Bhattarai, Rajendra Ghimire, and Amar Thapa. It is responsible for preparing the suggestion collection timeline and other related duties. After the government initiated the process for amending the constitution, UML formed a separate task force led by Vice Chairman Paudel. Today’s meeting of the task force also resolved to hold discussions with other political parties about the proposed amendment contents.
