Ukraine Conducts Largest Drone Attack on Moscow, Smoke Billows Over the City (Photos)
Ukraine has launched the largest drone attack since the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, targeting the Russian capital, Moscow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Thursday, “If Ukraine is burning, your Moscow will burn too.” The drone strike hit the Gazprom Neft oil refinery in Moscow, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. This attack is considered the largest of its kind since the war began.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, President Zelensky reiterated, “If Ukraine burns, your Moscow will also burn.” Following the attack, images and videos have emerged showing thick black smoke rising from the Gazprom Neft oil refinery in Moscow. The footage also shows firefighting helicopters attempting to control the blaze. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin described the strike as one of the largest Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow since the war started.
