Nepali Team Farewelled Ahead of ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia

June 25, Kathmandu – The Nepali cricket team participating in the upcoming ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup cricket tournament in Malaysia was bid farewell in a grand ceremony. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) hosted the event on Thursday to send off the team. On this occasion, CAN Vice President Roshan Singh and Treasurer Padam Khadka extended their best wishes to the squad.

Treasurer Khadka expressed confidence that the team would advance to the U-19 World Cup and wished the Nepali women’s cricket team success in the forthcoming competition. Coach Mahesh Prasad Rizal provided insights into the team’s preparation, stating, “This tournament is very important for us, and we are aiming for an excellent performance. Additionally, it poses the challenge of continuing the legacy we have established previously.”

CAN Vice President Roshan Singh remarked that with the continuous improvement in U-19 cricket standards, the Nepali team is expected to achieve outstanding success in this competition. The tournament will commence on June 27, where Nepal will compete in the group stage against Qatar, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The Nepali squad includes captain Sony Pakhrin, Sana Pravin, Alisa Kumari Yadav, Savitri Dhami, Manisha Upadhyay, Rachana Chaudhary, Riya Sharma, Anu Kadayat, Tirsana Bishwakarma, Krishma Gurung, Anjali Pathak, Manisha Chaudhary, Sneha Mahara, and Karuna Bista.
