Nepal Dominates Qatar by 105 Runs in ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup Opener
Nepal launched a commanding start in the ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup by defeating Qatar by a substantial margin of 105 runs. Batting first, Nepal set a target of 130 runs for 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sabitri Dhami led the charge with a top score of 52 runs, while Sana Pravin contributed 27 runs and Anjila Pathak added 23 runs. Captain Sony Pakhrin unfortunately failed to open her account and was dismissed early.
Chasing 131 runs, Qatar’s batting lineup collapsed under the intense attack from Nepal’s bowlers, being bowled out for just 25 runs in 12 overs. None of Qatar’s batters managed to reach double figures, with the highest individual score being only 4 runs. Rachana Chaudhary was outstanding, taking 3 wickets for just 2 runs in her 3 overs. Riya Sharma also claimed 3 wickets conceding only 6 runs in 3 overs. Manisha Upadhyay took 2 wickets, and Anu Kadayat contributed with 1 wicket. Nepal will next face Singapore in their second match tomorrow.
