Nepal Faces Jersey in First One-Day International Cricket Match

Preparing for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, the Nepalese team is set to play their first One Day International (ODI) match against Jersey today. The match will commence at 3:45 AM local time at the Granville Cricket Ground. Following the game against Jersey, Nepal will participate in a tri-nation series in the Netherlands, which will also feature Namibia. Kathmandu, 13 July.

Nepal last faced Jersey in an ODI match during the 2010 Division Five tournament. Additionally, both teams competed in the 2015 T20 World Cup qualifiers. From the 2015 squad, Nepal’s Sompal Kami and Karan KC, as well as Jersey’s Charles Perchard and Jonty Jenner, are included in this lineup. Furthermore, Nepal has incorporated Dai Tribe player Jack Tribe, who competes in county cricket, into the team.

After playing a second ODI against Jersey on Wednesday, Nepal will move on to participate in the tri-nation League 2 series in the Netherlands, which includes Namibia.
