Discussions Between MCC and CAN Officials on the Development of Nepalese Cricket
Chairperson of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Chatur Bahadur Chand, along with Secretary Paras Khadka, held meetings with officials from the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The discussions involved an exchange of ideas focused on the development of Nepalese cricket and the expansion of long-term collaboration between the two organizations. Both CAN and MCC expressed their commitment to jointly work on talent development and technical support within Nepalese cricket. Kathmandu, 31 Ashadh – CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand and Secretary Paras Khadka met with key MCC officials at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground in England. Present at the meeting were MCC Chief Executive and Secretary Rob Latham, Cricket and Operations Director Rob Lynch, and MCC Foundation Chief Executive Angus Berry. During the talks, the strengthening of the relationship between CAN and MCC was discussed along with strategies to expand their cooperation for the sustainable development of cricket in Nepal. Both parties engaged in positive dialogue concerning overall growth of Nepalese cricket, talent cultivation, technical assistance, and exploring new avenues for future collaboration. CAN also conveyed that the partnership aims not only to enhance cricket in Nepal but also to jointly contribute to its advancement on the international stage.
