Paris Louvre Museum Gallery Reopens After Nine Months Following Jewelry Theft

The Louvre Museum’s gallery has reopened after being closed for nine months due to a jewelry theft. The Apollo Gallery, which was shut down following the theft of jewelry in October 2025, is now accessible again after this extended closure. The incident, in which royal jewels of France’s former monarchy known as the ‘French Crown Jewels’ valued at over $100 million were stolen within just seven minutes, received widespread attention.

Of the stolen jewels, only one has been recovered so far, and efforts are underway to reinstall it at its original location. Louvre officials have also stated that the remaining jewels will be secured with heightened security measures to ensure their protection.
