March 22, Dolpa – Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Madhav Chaulagain has arrived in Dolpa to supervise the Bheri Corridor road section.
According to his secretariat, Minister Chaulagain conducted an on-site inspection of the Bheri Corridor road section stretching from Surkhet through Chhinchu and Jajarkot to Dolpa, arriving in Dolpa on Monday evening.
Accompanied by a team including the Director General and engineers from the Department of Roads, the minister gathered information regarding the current status, progress, and challenges of the road section from Jajarkot to Dolpa, the Dolpa District Administration Office said.
During the cabinet meeting on March 14, a decision was made to assign responsibility for constructing 33 kilometers of this road section to the Nepalese Army. Following this decision, Minister Chaulagain visited Dolpa to assess the implementation status and explore how to initiate the construction work.
While in Dolpa, Minister Chaulagain plans to coordinate with local stakeholders to discuss how to effectively advance the construction work.
The secretariat stated that the minister and his team are scheduled to return on Tuesday morning.
