Ministry Seeks Suggestions on Draft Amendments to Human Trafficking and Disability Rights Acts

The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has initiated a call for suggestions on draft amendments to the Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) Act and the Disability Rights Act. The ministry highlighted that various provisions have been incorporated into the amendment bill to enhance its effectiveness, inviting stakeholders and the general public to submit their feedback within this week. The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has announced a consultation for suggestions on draft amendments to two acts. It has prepared amendment bills for the Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) Act, 2064, and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2074, and commenced the process of collecting feedback. To strengthen the legal framework, the bills include multiple new provisions, and the ministry has urged all interested parties to contribute their suggestions as part of this consultation effort.
