
Arjun Kulung Rai and Ang Furba Sherpa Win Titles at Manjushree Trail Race
In the Manjushree Trail Race 2026, Arjun Kulung Rai and Ang Furba Sherpa were declared winners in the 100-mile category. Arjun Rai secured first place in the men’s race with a time of 26 hours, 37 minutes, and 49 seconds, while Ang Furba Sherpa claimed the women’s title, finishing in 33 hours, 13 minutes, and 6 seconds. According to the organizers, the winners received various prizes along with cash awards. The event took place on Baisakh 7 in Kathmandu.
The competition, held in the Rim area of the Kathmandu Valley, challenged runners with difficult trails, steep climbs, and long distances. In the men’s category, Arjun Kulung Rai finished first in 26 hours, 37 minutes, and 49 seconds, followed by Milan Kulung Rai in second, and Vijay Rana Magar in third place. In the women’s division, Ang Furba Sherpa won with a time of 33 hours, 13 minutes, and 6 seconds, while Anne Mai Ban secured second place, and Anita Rai finished third. The organizers confirmed that all winners received various awards along with prize money. All participants demonstrated remarkable endurance and resilience on this demanding course.
