
12 Injured in Jeep Accident in Western Rukum, 3 in Critical Condition
April 28, Western Rukum – Twelve people were injured in a jeep accident in Aathbiskot Municipality, Western Rukum, with three individuals reported to be in critical condition. The Bolero jeep bearing registration number Ga 1 Cha 5213, traveling from Radi Bazaar of Ward No. 9 towards Maidanda, met with an accident on the Sundarpani internal road in Ward No. 9 on Tuesday evening. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ved Bahadur Paudel, the vehicle collided with the roadside embankment, causing the accident.
DSP Paudel stated that the driver, 26-year-old Narendra Bik from Sani Bheri Rural Municipality, Ward No. 4, is currently missing and efforts to locate him are underway. The jeep owner, Haribahadur Gaire from Aathbiskot Municipality Ward No. 8, is in contact with the police. The injured are receiving treatment at the Municipal Hospital in Radi. Among the injured are Jasi Damai, 45, from Aathbiskot Municipality Ward No. 10; 16-year-old Bhupendra Satyal from Ward No. 8; 23-year-old Mahendra Gaire from the same ward; 59-year-old Dhankumari Sarki from Ward No. 10; 26-year-old Nandkali Pun from Ward No. 8; and 25-year-old Purnabahadur Sarki also from Ward No. 8.
Additional injured include 35-year-old Sushila Nepali from Ward No. 9; 11-year-old Omprakash Gharti from Ward No. 8; 62-year-old Kaily Nepali from Ward No. 10; 60-year-old Mina Gharti from Ward No. 8; 61-year-old Manbahadur Basyal from the same ward; and 17-year-old Sita Bik from Ward No. 10. The police have confirmed that the conditions of Jasi Damai, Bhupendra Satyal, and Mahendra Gaire are serious.
