
Plan to Integrate Sports with Tourism and Economy Included in Upcoming Policy Program
The government has incorporated a plan to link sports with tourism and the economy in the policy program for the upcoming fiscal year. President Ramchandra Paudel announced that talent identification programs will be implemented starting from the school level. The policy program also includes objectives to commercialize the sports sector, encourage private sector participation, and ensure social security for athletes.
Kathmandu, 28 Baisakh – The government has outlined a strategy in the forthcoming fiscal year’s policy program to connect sports with national unity, health, tourism, and the economy. Presenting the policy program as the President of Nepal, Ramchandra Paudel stated that talent identification initiatives will be conducted beginning at the school level. Additionally, the policy emphasizes the commercialization of sports, involvement of the private sector, and securing social protection for athletes.
