10K NYFA Run to Take Place on Saturday to Celebrate National Youth Union Nepal

On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the National Youth Union Nepal, a ’10K NYFA Run’ will be held in Kathmandu on Jestha 1. The run will start from Dashrath Rangashala in Tripureshwor, take a turn at Tinkune, and finish back at Dashrath Rangashala. The winner will receive a cash prize of NPR 50,000, and awards will be given to the top five runners. Approximately one thousand participants are expected to take part.

The union’s spokesperson, Niroj Paudel, announced that all preparations for the ’10K NYFA Run’ have been completed. The event aims to link youth with sports, discipline, health, positive thinking, and social responsibility under the slogan, ‘Sports for health, sports for the nation.’

Organized with technical support from the Nepal Athletics Association, the run will begin at 6:30 AM from Dashrath Rangashala in Tripureshwor. Nepal’s record-breaking runner Baikuntha Manandhar will inaugurate the 10K run. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top five finishers: NPR 50,000 for first place, NPR 40,000 for second, NPR 30,000 for third, NPR 20,000 for fourth, and NPR 10,000 for fifth. The open event will attract participants ranging from national-level athletes to members of the National Youth Union Nepal.
