
Opposition Will Continue Until Prime Minister Appears in Parliament: Hark Sampang
June 19, Kathmandu – Harkraj Rai, Chairperson of the Labor Culture Party, has stated that his party’s opposition in parliament will persist until Prime Minister Balen Shah demonstrates responsibility and accountability towards parliament. Speaking to journalists on Wednesday within the parliamentary premises, he highlighted that the Prime Minister is also the Home Minister, responding to questions related to the ministry. Rai also expressed concern over issues arising after the clearance of the squatter settlements by the Home Ministry.
Rai said, “We will continue our efforts to make the Prime Minister attend parliament.” He urged the Prime Minister to fulfill his responsibilities and appear before the house.
He added, “Until he attends parliament, we will maintain our protest.” During this, Rai emphasized the need for serious consideration of the problems faced by the squatters’ communities.
