After Leaving Rastriya Swatantra Party, Mamta Sharma Appointed as Central Committee Member by Congress

May 25, Kathmandu – Mamta Sharma, who left the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) during the House of Representatives election period and joined the Nepali Congress, has been nominated as a central committee member by party president Gagan Thapa. On Tuesday, President Thapa nominated Sharma as a member of the Central Working Committee. Krishna Prasad Dulal, acting chief secretary at the Nepali Congress central office, confirmed the nomination of Sharma to the central committee. Sharma was the founding chairperson of RSP’s Madhesh Province chapter. During the election period, she left the party and joined Congress, citing that RSP had acted against its rules and regulations.
