Russian President Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan Hold Phone Conversation

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan engaged in a telephone conversation on Monday. The two leaders held detailed discussions on the outcomes of the Eurasian Economic Council meeting and bilateral relations. Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude to President Putin for acknowledging his balanced perspective on sensitive issues and agreed to arrange a meeting soon.

According to the Kremlin, President Putin shared the conclusions of the ‘Supreme Eurasian Economic Council’ meeting held last Friday in Astana with Prime Minister Pashinyan. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov described the exchange as an excellent opportunity to continue the dialogue initiated during the recent Eurasian Economic Union meeting.

As part of the agreement, President Putin also extended birthday wishes to Prime Minister Pashinyan. From the Armenian side, Pashinyan thanked President Putin for recognizing his balanced stance on various contentious topics. The two leaders engaged in serious discussions over current bilateral and multilateral agenda issues and agreed to deepen their dialogue further through a forthcoming meeting.
