Successful Separation of Conjoined Twins Using AI Technology

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has been utilized to separate conjoined twins. Mercy and Goodness, twin sisters born in Nigeria with joined heads, were successfully separated by surgeons with the assistance of AI technology.

During the surgical preparation, ‘mixed reality’ technology was used to redesign parts of their skulls. The twins are now two years old. The high-risk surgery took place in Abu Dhabi, with medical teams engaging in detailed discussions several days before the procedure.
