Gajendra Gupta Elected President of Jitpursimara Municipality Industry and Commerce Association

Gajendra Gupta has been elected as the president of the Jitpursimara Municipality Industry and Commerce Association in Bara, securing 529 votes. He defeated his opponent Manojkumar Gupta by a significant margin of 330 votes, winning alongside his entire panel. The newly elected president, Gupta, pledged to prioritize addressing the issues faced by small and medium entrepreneurs in the Birgunj-Pathlaiya industrial corridor. (8 Ashad, Bara)

During the third convention of the association held on Sunday, the young businessman Gupta’s panel secured a clear majority in the voting. According to the results announced on Monday, Gajendra led the race with 529 votes, surpassing Manojkumar Gupta who received 199 votes by a wide margin of 330 votes, thereby assuming leadership of Jitpursimara.

In the outgoing committee of the association, Gajendra served as the commerce vice president, while Manojkumar was the senior vice president. The elections also resulted in Shivji Sah Sonar being elected as senior vice president, Prakash Giri as general secretary, Rambabu Kalwar as commerce vice president, Rina Rauniyar as treasurer, and Rita Kandel as commerce secretary. Members related to commerce elected include Amarendra Yadav, Navratan Kalwar, Balram Paudel, Bibha Gupta, Manohar Gupta, Vijay Gupta, and Mukund Rizal.

According to newly elected president Gajendra Gupta, the industrial, commodity, and associate office bearers and members were selected unanimously. Vijaykumar Sah was elected unopposed as industry vice president, Mukeshprasad Sah as industry secretary, with Thahalbahadur Bishwakarma, Rakeshkumar Gupta, and Rajes Sah elected unopposed as industry members. In the associate members category, Himanshu Golcha and in commodities, Suryaprakash Tripathi were also elected unopposed. Addressing the victory ceremony, President Gupta reiterated his commitment to advancing the agenda focused on resolving the challenges faced by small and medium-scale industries and the plight of small business owners in the Birgunj-Pathlaiya industrial corridor.
