Iran Willing to Cooperate with Islamic Countries Under Certain Conditions

June 24, Kathmandu – Iran has expressed its willingness to expand relations with Islamic countries based on mutual respect and the principle of non-interference in each other’s internal affairs. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, stated at the conference of parliamentary unions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, “Regional security management should not be imposed from outside,” adding, “It must be conducted locally and based on regional principles.”

Notably, several countries in the Gulf region host US military bases, which Iran has repeatedly targeted with retaliatory attacks. Ghalibaf emphasized, “The end of war in Lebanon is as significant as the end of war in Iran. This is the most critical and important issue.”
