Minister Pokharel Vows Commitment to Rebuilding Nepali Football

June 24, Kathmandu – Minister for Education and Sports, Sashmit Pokharel, has expressed a strong commitment to rebuilding Nepali football. This statement comes just a day after FIFA suspended the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Thursday. Minister Pokharel made these remarks in this context.

Responding to a question on social media, Minister Pokharel stated that continuous discussions are ongoing with sports stakeholders and former players, underscoring his firm resolve to revive Nepali football. The exchange occurred on a Facebook post related to the National Examination Board, where an individual inquired about the FIFA suspension of ANFA. Minister Pokharel responded, ‘We are in continuous dialogue with current and former football players and various concerned parties. We will rebuild Nepali football.’
