Police Arrest 21 Individuals Caught Gambling in Kathmandu and Chitwan

The police have arrested 21 individuals caught gambling in Soltimode, Kathmandu, and Bharatpur, Chitwan. From Soltimode, 10 people were detained along with NPR 223,005 in cash and 22 packs of cards. In Pulchok, Chitwan, 11 individuals were taken into custody with NPR 80,465 and four packs of cards, and further investigation is underway.

The Nepal Police apprehended 21 people playing gambling games at different locations. On Saturday evening, police arrested 10 individuals inside the room of Dinesh Lama from Sindhupalchok, residing in Soltimode, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–13, where they were playing card games. Authorities seized NPR 223,005 in cash and 22 packs of playing cards from them. The district police office in Kathmandu was also involved in the operation.

Similarly, in Pulchok, Ward No. 3 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan, 11 individuals were caught gambling. A team dispatched from the Narayangadh Ward Police Office arrested them with NPR 80,465 in cash and four packs of cards. The police have stated that necessary investigations are ongoing regarding the matter.
