Russia has dispatched humanitarian aid including food and medicine to Venezuela, which was recently struck by a devastating earthquake, Alexander Schetinin, director of the Latin American department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced. He shared this information during a wreath-laying ceremony at the Simon Bolivar monument marking the 215th anniversary of Venezuela’s declaration of independence.
According to Schetinin, tents, food supplies, essential medicines, and other critical items have been sent to Caracas to provide temporary shelter for displaced individuals. Additionally, Russia is preparing to deploy a team of specialists in sanitary and epidemiological control to Venezuela.
Schetinin emphasized that Russia remains committed to extending a helping hand to Venezuela to combat the consequences of this natural disaster and assist in recovery efforts.
