Former Minister Bal Krishna Khand and 22 Others Found Guilty in Fake Refugee Case

Court acquits 7 individuals

The Kathmandu District Court has found 23 accused individuals, including former Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Topbahadur Rayamajhi, guilty in the widely publicized fake refugee case, an official from the court confirmed.

Judge Tej Bahadur Khadka’s bench delivered the verdict recently, according to court information officer Shiv Khatriwada.

“Seven individuals have been acquitted, while the remaining have been declared guilty,” he stated.

Sentencing is yet to be determined. “The next hearing for sentencing is scheduled for Ashar 29,” added Khatriwada.

He also confirmed that Ramsharan KC, Tankkumar Gurung, Sandip Rayamajhi, Pratik Thapa, Laxmi Maharjan, Keshav Tuladhar, and Ashish Budhathoki were acquitted.
