Deuba Emphasizes the Need for Coexistence, Harmony, Unity, and Cooperation

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and ex-president of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed serious concern over the incidents occurring in various districts of the Terai region. Currently undergoing treatment in Hong Kong, Deuba conveyed through Facebook that a defining feature of the Nepali people is their acceptance of coexistence and maintaining harmony.

“I have been deeply concerned about the recent incidents in different parts of Terai over the past few days. The primary attribute of us Nepalis is to accept each other’s coexistence while sustaining mutual harmony, unity, and cooperation,” he stated. “I earnestly call upon all brothers and sisters to uphold social harmony by fostering cooperation, unity, and peace.”

Deuba further urged the government to collaborate with all political parties to take immediate and effective measures to prevent further violence. “I offer heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in these events and express deep sympathies to the bereaved families. Additionally, I wish for the swift recovery of the injured,” he said. “To prevent the escalation of violence, I request the government to work closely with various political factions and initiate necessary and effective actions forthwith.”
