Leopardess Rescued from 13-Meter-Deep Well in Gujarat Village

A leopardess that fell into a 13-meter-deep well in a village in Junagadh district, Gujarat, India, has been successfully rescued and brought out. A video of the rescue operation has been made public. Local farmers noticed the helpless leopardess trapped inside the well and alerted the forest department, which dispatched a rescue team to the site. The operation took approximately two hours to complete.

After the rescue, the leopardess was examined at an animal care center before being released back into the forest. The incident occurred near Gir National Park, which is home to the Asiatic lion, a species that is endangered in India.
