Deaths in Jajarkot Landslide: ‘First the Earthquake Hurt Us, Now the Landslide’

A landslide in Resang, Ward No. 2 of Bheri Municipality, Jajarkot, has claimed the lives of four individuals. Several houses were buried, resulting in six more injuries.
Approximately 200 villagers at risk of further landslides have been relocated to safer locations. Over 60 families facing such risks have been temporarily sheltered in the building of Tri-Bhuwan Basic School within the village, according to the District Administration Office.
Displaced residents are urging the government to arrange resettlement and housing as soon as possible.
