
Art Exhibition ‘Susamjhana’ Showcases Felt Art by Eight Artists
3rd Bhadra, Kathmandu – Embracing the traditional Nepalese wool felting as contemporary art, eight artists are set to present an exhibition titled ‘Susamjhana: Felting – Merogizi of Culture.’ Curated by Safal Shrestha, this exhibition will be held at Sarvashrestha Gallery located in Swayambhu. The event marks the culmination of Felt Futures: A Design Fellowship. It is a collaborative effort led by the women-led social enterprise Felt the Way, Kathmandu University’s Department of Arts, and Sarvashrestha Gallery.
The exhibition will showcase artworks by Nilam Rai, Parsis Rai, Prabha Napit, Rajshree Shrestha, Sapana Sanjivani, Safal Shrestha, Sona Lhamu Tamang, and Sumanita Bajracharya. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore various materials crafted from raw wool. All displayed artworks are created exclusively from Nepalese wool, renowned for its beautiful natural qualities and its biodegradable properties.
