Chinese President Xi Jinping Orders Rescue Efforts for Flood Victims in Nepal-China Border Area

September 26, Kathmandu. Chinese President Xi Jinping has instructed authorities to actively engage in the search and rescue operations for those missing due to landslides caused by flooding in the Nepal-China border region. The state-run Global Times, citing Xinhua, reported this directive. President Xi has ordered that all available resources be deployed to address this emergency and to intensify search and rescue efforts.

The landslides have caused significant damage at the Kerung port located in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of southwest China. Reports indicate extensive losses to both human life and property at this border port area.
