Central Bank Directs Continuous Banking Services During Holidays to Support Flood Relief Efforts

Nepal Rastra Bank has directed banks and financial institutions to remain operational continuously from Friday through Sunday to facilitate relief and rescue efforts for those affected by the Rasuwa floods. The central bank has emphasized the importance of providing essential banking services to assist in distributing aid and supporting rescue operations. Banks and financial institutions will provide uninterrupted financial services from Friday to Sunday following the directive from Nepal Rastra Bank. This measure aims to support flood victims in Rasuwa by ensuring ongoing access to essential banking operations necessary for relief distribution and rescue activities. The central bank stressed the need for banks to actively communicate their continuous service availability to the public.
