Trump Warns of Imminent Attack on Iran’s Mount Kalang
September 6 (Bhadra 20), Kathmandu – US President Donald Trump has indicated that an attack on Iran’s Mount Kalang could happen soon. Speaking to reporters on Friday, he mentioned that the United States might launch an assault on the ‘Peakax Mountain’ located in Iran. This area, near Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, is considered highly secure and is known to contain two deep underground tunnels.
Trump emphasized that the conflict with Iran should not be termed a major war. “Many people don’t consider this a war. I call it a military confrontation,” he said, “because it is quite routine for us. It’s not a big deal.” Citing the US actions in Venezuela as an example, Trump noted that there were no casualties on the American side there, while 18 American soldiers have died in the conflict with Iran. He recalled that during the Vietnam War, the US lost over 100,000 lives and claimed that the current conflict is much smaller in scale. Earlier, US Vice President Mike Pence also stated that the ongoing military operations against Iran should not be classified as a ‘war.’
