Kathmandu Reds Claim First Victory by Defeating Madhesh Warriors in NVL

Kathmandu Reds secured their first win in the Extra Energy Drink Nepal Volleyball League (NVL) with an exhilarating 3–2 set victory over Madhesh Warriors at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwor. The match scores were 20–25, 26–24, 25–17, 22–25, and a closely contested 16–14 final set. Ahmed Mustafa Khan of Kathmandu Reds was named ‘Man of the Match’ while this marked Madhesh Warriors’ second consecutive defeat.

On September 6, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Reds delivered a significant victory by defeating Madhesh Warriors 3–2 in an intense encounter at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwor. Despite dropping the first set 20–25, Kathmandu Reds bounced back to secure the second set 26–24. They maintained momentum with a 25–17 win in the third set, conceded the fourth set 22–25, and ultimately triumphed in the final set 16–14.

Ahmed Mustafa Khan was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ for his outstanding performance. Madhesh Warriors had previously suffered a defeat against Sagarmatha Smashers in their opening game with scores of 25–21, 25–21, 23–25, and 25–21.
