Trump Signs Security Agreement with Greenland and Denmark

During the United Nations General Assembly, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a security agreement related to Greenland. After delivering his address in the main assembly hall, Trump finalized the agreement alongside leaders from Denmark and representatives of the semi-autonomous territory of Greenland. Speaking at the signing, Trump stated, “This will be a long-term and excellent relationship.”
Earlier, Trump had controversially suggested forcibly acquiring Greenland, a proposal that drew criticism from European nations. This latest agreement aims to solidify the security arrangements for American forces stationed in Greenland. It is important to note that Greenland is a dependency of Denmark.
