Nepal to Face Afghanistan in Men’s Cricket at the 20th Asian Games

As part of the 20th Asian Games currently underway in Japan, Nepal’s men’s cricket team is set to play its first match against Afghanistan today at 10:45 AM. The match will take place at Korogi Sports Park in Nishin, where a game between Oman and Hong Kong is currently in progress. From Group ‘A’, the top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals, where Nepal is likely to face either India or Sri Lanka.

On 25 September in Kathmandu, Nepal prepares to compete in their opening game of the men’s cricket event at the Asian Games held in Aichi, Japan. Scheduled to begin at 10:45 AM, Nepal will face Afghanistan at Korogi Sports Park. Earlier, Afghanistan defeated Japan in their opening group match. Nepal shares Group ‘A’ with Afghanistan and Japan. The leading two teams from this group will advance to the quarterfinals. Should Nepal advance, they will likely compete against India or Sri Lanka. Previously, Nepal also reached the quarterfinals in past Asian Games cricket tournaments but were eliminated by India.
