
Toronto Sixers Win Canada Super 60 Women’s Cricket Title with Indu Barma in Squad
October 5, Kathmandu — The Toronto Sixers, featuring captain of the Nepalese women’s cricket team Indu Barma, have clinched the title in the Canada Super 60 Women’s Cricket Tournament. In the final held on Sunday morning, Toronto defeated the Vancouver Warriors by 6 wickets to secure the championship. Chasing a target of 86 runs, Toronto reached it with 3 balls to spare. Indu remained unbeaten on 15 runs, striking the winning runs. She also contributed with the ball by taking 1 wicket and effecting a run-out. Over the course of the tournament, Indu took 4 wickets in 4 matches. Despite losing their opening match against the Vancouver Warriors, Toronto bounced back by defeating the Vancouver Anchors twice, including in the eliminator match, to advance to and ultimately win the final.
